David Klein Joins SNR Denton’s Hotels and Leisure Practice

SNR Denton announced today that David Klein has joined the firm as a partner in its global Hotels and Leisure practice. Klein joins SNR Denton from Advaya Hospitality, where he was a principal, chief administrative officer and general counsel.

“David not only brings to our team his deep knowledge of the hotel sector, but also our style and approach to serving clients that has set our team apart for decades. He was a key part of our team for many years, and I am thrilled to again work alongside him,” said Rick Ross, head of SNR Denton’s Hotels and Leisure practice and resident in the firm’s Phoenix office.

Klein has been actively involved in the hotel industry for the past 13 years, in private practice and as a founding principal in both NYLO Hotels and Advaya Hospitality. At NYLO and Advaya, Klein spearheaded all legal matters related to the structuring and implementation of the equity and debt financing for the companies’ formation and hotel development. He was also responsible for overseeing all corporate and legal matters related to the companies’ ongoing franchise, management, development, financing and corporate affairs.

Prior to joining Advaya and NYLO as a founding principal, Klein was in private practice with SNR Denton’s Ross, Meghan Cocci and Mark Daliere at another international law firm, focusing exclusively on the hotel and leisure industry. Klein worked with hotel owners and operators throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Mexico, the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands, advising them in connection with buying, selling, developing, financing and managing hotels and resorts. His clients relied on him for advice on specific transactions and strategic corporate matters. Klein was also at the forefront of advising clients and creating the legal structures for complex mixed-use projects involving hotels, condo-hotels, serviced residences and other leisure facilities – now the norm in the hotel industry.

“When I decided to return to private practice, there was no doubt in my mind where I would go,” said Klein. “Rick, Meghan and Mark are true leaders in the hospitality legal arena and at the forefront of some of the largest and most exciting transactions being accomplished around the globe. My respect for them and the client service standards they deliver made it a very easy decision and I look forward to collaborating with my new partners and colleagues around the world.”

Klein earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at the Arizona State University and his B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles.
Since 2008, the firm’s Hotels and Leisure practice has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as one of only two law firm practices to receive the prestigious “Band 1” Leisure and Hospitality ranking. Klein’s arrival also complements a group of more than 80 new partners, counsel, principals and senior advisors who have joined SNR Denton worldwide since the combination that created the firm.
