Jeffrey H. Roth Joins TKD as Partner in Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups

Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey H. Roth has joined the firm as a Partner in the Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP. Mr. Roth has over 28 years of experience representing clients in all aspects of real estate and co-op and condominium litigation, as well as commercial and residential landlord-tenant law. He counsels shareholders, cooperatives and condominium clients, and owners and tenants in leasing and real estate transactions.

Mr. Roth’s court experience includes the successful representation of:
  • Landlords and tenants in hundreds of commercial lease and real estate disputes, actions and proceedings in State Supreme Court, Civil Court, District Court and various Justice Courts 
  • Owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors in connection with mechanic lien disputes 
  • Landlords and tenants with issues involving Rent Stabilization, Rent Control and Loft Law coverage 
  • Landlords and tenants at Administrative Hearings before the Division of Housing Community and Renewal (DHCR) 
  • Real estate clients including owners, landlords, co-op boards, tenants and shareholders in connection with appeals and motions to the Appellate Term and Appellate Division 
  • Cooperative boards and shareholders in connection with the litigation of issues involving proprietary leases, By-laws and House Rules 
  • Landlords and tenants in hundreds of housing court cases including non-primary residence cases, and non-payment and holdover proceedings
 
Mr. Roth is a member of the Civil Court Practice Section and the Judiciary Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. In addition, he is an arbitrator in the Civil Court of the City of New York and a member of the Association of Arbitrators.
Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, Mr. Roth was the principal of the Law Office of Jeffrey H. Roth, formed in 2003. He was also a founding member of Kramer Roth & Rosenbaum LLP (2000-2003) and Special Counsel at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP (1990 – 2000). He earned his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, cum laude, in 1977; his M.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, in 1979; and, his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1983. Mr. Roth is admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
