Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has announced that it is expanding its Intellectual Property practice with the addition of John A. Bauer. Mr. Bauer, an experienced litigator with first chair trial and appellate experience will be joining as a Member in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice in New York.
“John’s talent as a first-rate IP litigator and his particular expertise within the biotech industry, further expands the firm’s and the New York office’s capabilities in the life science and technology sectors,” said Stephen J. Gulotta, Jr., Managing Member of the firm’s New York office and head of the Corporate and Securities Section in New York. “We are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Mr. Bauer was a partner in an international law firm, where he focused on patent litigation, due diligence, and client counseling. He has represented clients in a variety of biotechnology and high technology patent infringement cases, as well as in interferences.
Mr. Bauer received a BS in Genetics from Ohio State University and his JD from the Catholic University of America. He is admitted to practice in New York as well as before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Southern District of New York, other district courts, and the US Patent and Trademark Office.
