Fradyn Suárez Joins Hunton & Williams LLP’s Latin America Practice, Brings Capital Markets, Finance and Project Finance Acumen

Experienced corporate finance lawyer Fradyn Suárez joins Hunton & Williams LLP as a partner in its Miami and New York offices from Mayer Brown LLP, where she was a partner in the firm’s New York office. Throughout her career, Suárez has represented a diverse client base in connection with a broad array of business and regulatory matters, most involving cross‐border complexities involving Latin America, the Caribbean and other emerging markets.

Fernando Alonso, chairman of the firm’s Latin American practice, said, “We are delighted that Fradyn has joined our group. For a lawyer to excel in a cross-border transactional practice, he or she must combine excellent lawyering skills with a measure of sophistication and a keen perception of cultural nuances which is not common. Fradyn, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, is one of those unique lawyers.”
Suárez is a director of the Cuban American National Foundation and a founding director and Secretary of the University Council of the Cuban American National Foundation. Additionally, she is a member of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County, the National Organization of Women as well as the Cuban American Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association. Suárez is active in HNBA events and was selected by the Association of Corporate Counsel and the HNBA’s Commission on the Status of Latinas in the Legal Profession as one of 50 future Latin corporate practice leaders to participate in a leadership program co-sponsored by those organizations.
