Victor E. Salerno has joined Holland & Knight’s Real Estate practice as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Salerno focuses his practice on all areas of commercial real estate and real estate finance.
“We are delighted that Vic will now be a part of our firm’s real estate team,” said Stuart Saft, chair of the New York Real Estate Practice Group. “He brings extensive experience in representing domestic and international owners, lenders, investors, developers and tenants. The breadth of the types of transactions he has handled is broad and will greatly enhance the scope of our real estate transactional work.”
Mr. Salerno’s transactional experience has included mixed-use properties, office buildings, shopping centers, retail facilities, hotels, industrial locations, health care and senior living facilities and residential/condominium developments across the United States. He has significant experience in complex restructurings and recapitalizations from both the lender/creditor and borrower/debtor perspective.
“The Holland & Knight Real Estate practice is involved with a number of significant projects in the New York area,” said Mr. Salerno. “The variety of transactions the firm handles was attractive to me since I have worked in multi-state financing transactions, bond financings and a variety of portfolio transactions. My institutional and commercial lending experience will also fit nicely with the firm’s client base.”
Mr. Salerno received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Hobart College. While at Fordham, he was notes and article editor forĀ Fordham Finance, Securities and Tax Law Forum and associate editor forĀ Fordham International Law Journal. Mr. Salerno was most recently a partner at Mayer Brown.
