Morrison & Foerster Adds Financial Transactions Partner Mark Wojciechowski in New York

Morrison & Foerster today announced that Mark Wojciechowski, a highly regarded finance lawyer with more than three decades of experience handling complex financing and M&A transactions for commercial and investment banks, investment funds and public and private companies, has joined the Financial Transactions Group in New York as a partner.

Mr. Wojciechowski has spent most of his career handling sophisticated finance matters in the New York markets. He brings to Morrison & Foerster close ties with leading institutional lenders and investment funds.

According to Jill Feldman, chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Financial Transactions Group, Mr. Wojciechowski’s varied and versatile practice and client base fits perfectly with the firm’s practice.

“Mark is an exceptionally versatile finance lawyer who works across a spectrum of areas that will benefit our clients,” said Ms. Feldman. “He has a strong track record working with sophisticated domestic and international banks, non-bank lenders and companies on large, complex transactions. His practice complements our financial institutions practice and expands our capacity to represent parties to financing transactions in a variety of contexts, particularly with respect to acquisition financings.”

Reflecting his versatility and broad experience, in addition to leveraged finance and M&A transactions, Mr. Wojciechowski also advises investment funds and other non-traditional investors on hybrid mezzanine transactions involving debt and equity investments.

“MoFo has a dynamic domestic and international platform that touches many facets of my practice,” Mr. Wojciechowski said. “The firm works globally with top-tier lenders and acquisition parties, and handles market-leading transactions in a number of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, real estate and project finance, as well as structured finance. My capabilities and experience fit the firm nicely. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the practice.”

Mr. Wojciechowski was previously a partner with Allen & Overy in New York, where he served as head of the firm’s North American Leveraged Finance Group. Before that he practiced at Mayer Brown where, for a number of years, he led that firm’s global leveraged finance practice and served on its executive committee.

Mr. Wojciechowski earned his law degree, cum laude, from Maurer School of Law at Indiana University, Bloomington and his undergraduate degree from Columbia University. Chambers USA ranks him for M&A/Corporate work.
