Chadbourne & Parke represented CSC Trust Company of Delaware, as trustee, in connection with the issuance of US$220 million 9.50% Senior Secured Notes due 2017 issued by Newland International Properties Corp. (Newland), a Panamanian company.
The notes were issued under a pre-packaged Chapter 11 plan in exchange for notes issued by Newland to finance the construction of the Trump Ocean Club resort in Panama. Chadbourne also represented HSBC Bank USA, N.A., as trustee, with respect to the original notes. The plan became effective on July 3, 2013.
Chadbourne lawyers who worked on the deal included partners Marian Baldwin Fuerst and Douglas Deutsch and associate Adrienne Sebring.
