Ogletree Deakins Adds Distinguished Employment and Traditional Labor Relations Attorney in New York City

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Ronald Kreismann as a shareholder in its New York City office. Kreismann, an attorney with more than 40 years of experience in the full range of labor and employment law matters, joins Ogletree Deakins from Blank Rome LLP, where he was a partner. Kreismann is the 14th shareholder to join Ogletree Deakins in 2013 and the second shareholder to join the New York City office. The firm welcomed Frank Birchfield in March.

“Ronny is well regarded in the New York legal community and has extensive experience defending employers in all aspects of labor relations and employment law,” said Kim Ebert, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins. “His arrival adds to the critical mass of our New York City office and deepens the level of experience we will offer our clients, especially in traditional labor matters.”

Kreismann frequently represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations and arbitrations and counsels them in a wide range of employment matters including wage and hour, equal employment opportunity, and family and medical leave. His clients include major national and international hospitality companies; notable cultural, health care and religious institutions; and employers in the real estate, telecommunications, financial services, publishing, security, maritime and construction industries. He defends these employers in employment discrimination cases in federal and state court and before federal, state and local government agencies.

Kreismann is an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association’s employment law panel. He also serves as a court appointed early neutral evaluator and mediator in cases pending in the Eastern District of New York and as a mediator in cases pending in the Southern District of New York. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the Labor Law Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. Kreismann was named to the Best Lawyers in America list for 2013 and has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and earlier received his B.A. from the City University of New York.
