Real Estate Expert Bettina Krause Expands WFW’s Munich Office Practice

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce the arrival of real estate expert Bettina Krause as new partner in its Munich office. Bettina joins WFW from Clifford Chance, where she worked for over ten years, since 2011 as counsel.

Bettina has extensive experience advising national and international investors and project developers on property transactions, including portfolio transactions of all real estate asset classes. She also advises on commercial leases, real estate related aspects of financing and private building law.

Bettina joins a growing real estate practice at WFW. In recent years, the practice has been notable for its role on outstanding transactions such as complex acquisitions and project developments for shopping centres and hotels. With the addition of Bettina, the German real estate team now numbers nine partners.

Head of WFW Germany, Marcus Bechtel, says: “The addition of Bettina and the accompanying expansion of our German real estate practice is a key element of the firm’s growth in one of WFW’s global core sectors and of the further growth of the Munich office. Her expertise and experience provide the firm with the opportunity to further enhance our client offering for real estate.”

Bettina adds: “I believe my expertise, particularly my transactional business, very well complements the successful transactional practice at WFW which extends from real estate, to infrastructure and private equity business.”
