Simmons & Simmons Remains Committed to Corporate Practice With Hires in Munich

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has today strengthened its corporate and commercial practice with the addition of Robert Alan Heym, who joins the firm’s Munich office as a partner.* Robert joins the firm from CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP.

With a career spanning over 18 years, Robert has particular experience in M&A transactions (including merger control), general corporate law and corporate litigation, corporate restructuring/reorganisation and private equity/venture capital. Robert will be joined by of counsel, Dr. Theresia Gondro, who had previously worked in the Munich corporate Olswang/CMS Cameron McKenna team for the last two years.

Mark Curtis, head of the firm’s international corporate and commercial group, commented: “We are keen to welcome Robert to our practice in Germany at a time when our corporate and commercial offering is going from strength to strength, with partners Michael Chin in Asia and Chris Walton in London having recently joined the team. Robert’s experience not only complements that of our existing team, but it also enhances our offering particularly in corporate/M&A to our clients.”

Michael Bormann, partner and head of the firm’s corporate and commercial group in Germany, added; “Robert has a wealth of experience that we are keen to utilise within our practice here in Munich. He also has sector experience, TMT and life sciences, which align perfectly to our sector focus and will only strengthen what we offer to our clients.”
