Dentons Establishes Employment and Labor Practice in Munich With Four-Strong Team Led by Philipp Byers

Munich-Global law firm Dentons is expanding its Employment and Labor practice in Germany with the recruitment of Dr. Philipp Byers as a partner. He will join the Munich office on May 1, 2023 together with counsel Kathrin Wenzel, Manuela Winkler and Christian Fischer. The team arrives from Watson, Farley & Williams LLP.

The new team will establish the Employment and Labor practice in Munich to complement Dentons’ existing employment practice in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. The team will also strengthen Dentons’ offering in employee data protection.

Philipp Byers and his team join Dentons from Watson Farley & Williams. He advises national and international companies in all areas of individual and collective employment law. He focuses on employee data protection and employment-related compliance issues. Philipp Byers supports companies in all matters relating to works constitution law, the deployment of external personnel and operational restructuring. In addition, he has many years of experience in drafting employment contracts with senior executives as well as in conducting judicial and extrajudicial separation processes. Philipp Byers is recommended in the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms (2022/2023) as one of the leading labor law advisors under 50.
