Ogletree Deakins Strengthens Healthcare Practice in Milwaukee, Welcomes Christopher Johnson as Shareholder

Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Christopher Johnson as a shareholder in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Johnson joins Ogletree Deakins from Jackson Lewis P.C., where he handled a broad range of labor and employment law matters.

Johnson has represented and advised clients in all areas of labor and employment law, with a particular focus in health care, manufacturing, banking, retail, transportation, and service industries. He has also represented and advised clients in all aspects of commercial and civil litigation, with an emphasis in labor and employment litigation.

He has represented and advised clients concerning: Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, OSHA and state and local regulations related to labor and employment. He has provided daily advice on compliance with all employment laws and draft policies and procedures to ensure such compliance. Johnson has trained and educated clients’ supervisors and employees in aspects of labor and employment law. He has also managed all aspects of the unionized workplace including: contract administration, union organizing, conduct of union election campaigns, negotiations, strikes, and NLRB proceedings.

He has been involved in proceedings before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Eastern and Western United States District Courts of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Circuit Courts, NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, DOL, Worker’s Compensation Division, Equal Rights Division of the State of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review commission, various state fair employment agencies, and labor arbitrations.
