Tommaso Tosi Joins White & Case as a Partner in Milan

Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice with the addition of Tommaso Tosi as a new partner in Milan.

“White & Case has an excellent reputation in the Italian market as a leading advisor on M&A and capital markets deals, and our ambition is to continue growing our role advising clients on their most important, complex, cross-border deals,” said White & Case partner John Reiss, Head of the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. “The addition of Tommaso adds further strength and depth to the support our team in Milan provides to our clients.”

Tosi’s areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, capital markets (particularly high yield), private equity and general corporate law. He joins White & Case in the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and advises a variety of Italian and international corporations, investment banks and financial institutions on domestic and cross-border transactions including equity or high yield/investment grade debt offers (Rule 144A and/or Regulation S), mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals and general corporate matters. Tosi has more than 20 years of experience and joins from Shearman & Sterling, where he was a counsel.

“Tommaso is a versatile and highly skilled lawyer whose combination of M&A and capital markets experience is a perfect fit with our client offering in Milan, and his addition adds further strength and depth to the support our team in Milan provides to our clients,” said Michael Immordino, White & Case Office Executive Partner in Milan. “Tommaso has strong relationships with Italian and international banks, corporates and private equity firms, and his arrival strengthens our market position as one of the few law firms in Italy that can provide one-stop-shop advice across M&A, capital markets and private equity under US, English and Italian law.”

Oliver Brettle, London-based member of White & Case’s global Executive Committee, said: “Our 2020 strategy includes a focus on profitable growth in the global financial institutions and private equity industries, and in M&A and capital markets. The addition of Tommaso drives us forward in all four areas. He joins a strong existing team in Milan that has grown recently with the additions of lateral partners Veronica Pinotti and Alessandro Nolet, and the internal promotion of Leonardo Graffi.”
