Fernando Margarit Rejoins Hunton & Williams LLP’s Corporate Practice

Hunton & Williams LLP announces Fernando Margarit has returned to the firm as a partner in its global corporate group. Margarit has a broad-based practice, which involves cross-border M&A transactions and infrastructure projects. He has had experience in the telecommunications sector and has worked on significant matters for the telecommunications industry around the world. Margarit’s corporate M&A and project-related cross-border work has focused on Latin America, where he has developed a network of business relationships. Margarit rejoins the firm in the Miami office, where he practiced from 2001 to 2010. Most recently he had been a partner at Greenberg Traurig.

DLA Piper Expands Health Care Practice with Addition of Five-lawyer Group in Miami

DLA Piper today announced that prominent health care lawyers Joshua Kaye and Michael Austin have joined the firm as partners in the Miami office.  Kaye joins the firm’s Corporate practice and Austin joins the Litigation practice.  Kaye will also serve as co-chair of the firm’s interdisciplinary Health Care sector.  They are also joined by of counsel Adam Rogers, and associates Valerie Novales and Matthew Grosack. Johnson and Craig Join GrayRobinson’s Miami Office as Shareholders

Attorneys Christopher N. Johnson and Ted C. Craig recently joined the Miami office of GrayRobinson, P.A., as equity shareholders. DLA Piper Opens Miami Office and Announces Agreement with Law Firm Interjuris Abogados in Venezuela

Representing the next steps of the firm’s strategic plan for Latin America, DLA Piper today announced that effective March 1 it will open a Miami office with the addition of leading international arbitration lawyers Pedro J. Jones Walker’s Miami Receives Three New Attorneys

Jones Walker has boosted its Miami office with the hire of three attorneys.  D. Renee Jenkins joins the firm as special counsel and was previously with Adorno & Yoss.  Real Estate associate, Gregory W. Kuehnle, joins from Williams Mullen.  Constance D. Russell will be an associate at Jones Walker after completing federal clerkship with the Honorable Catharine R. Carruthers, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Middle District of North Carolina.

Greenberg Bags Another

Greenberg Traurig has added attorney Justin B. Mead to its Miami office. He joins as partner in the tax practice group. Mead concentrates on federal income tax and large corporations, and places special focus on the energy industry. He was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery.
