Cozen O’Connor Welcomes Miami-based Litigator Danielle N. Garno

Cozen O’Connor announced today Danielle N. Garno, a seasoned litigator, who has joined the firm from Greenberg Traurig, will be a member in the firm’s Miami office. Garno will chair Cozen O’Connor’s Retail Industry Team and lead the firm’s fashion, beauty, and luxury goods practice. Throughout her career, Garno has worked with high-profile, international brands like, Cartier, DvF, Burberry, H&M, Eton, Foundrae, Miansai, By Far, and Daniel Patrick.

For more than two decades, Garno has worked with global fashion, beauty, and luxury goods clients, from startups to trend setting international brands, addressing and resolving key business issues, including brand establishment and expansion, trademark and copyright infringement, risks related to counterfeiting, social media marketing and advertising disputes, as well as labor and employment and general business litigation. In addition, Garno brings to the firm and her clients a substantial white-collar practice. Her experience in that area includes defending businesses in white-collar disputes, alleged fraud actions, and federal and state indictments. When necessary, she also manages internal investigations and represents clients before state and federal regulatory bodies.

Garno, who speaks and publishes extensively on topics relating to fashion law, has been recognized as a leader in her field by Florida Trend, Florida Super Lawyers, and Law360. She created and continues to teach the first Fashion Law course at the University of Miami School of Law.

She sits on the board of trustees of the National YoungArts Foundation and is also counsel to the nonprofit Style Saves.

Garno earned her J.D. at Pepperdine University School of Law and her B.A. at the Universityof Miami.
