Fisher Phillips Launches an Office in Nashville

Nashville, TN (January 13, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, is excited to announce its launch of an office in Nashville, Tennessee. The firm has been open for business and operating out of temporary space in the city since July 2019, and now Fisher Phillips can make its presence official after securing over 4,000 square feet of office space in Nashville’s West End.

The new office is located at 3310 West End Avenue with easy access to Interstate 440. Fisher Phillips signed the lease in November and the firm began occupying the space in late December.

Fisher Phillips partners, Joseph (Joe) Shelton and Courtney Leyes, are leading the firm’s arrival in Nashville with a focus on the depth and quality of labor and employment law services that Fisher Phillips can bring to the market. Joe is the managing partner of the office and has been with the firm for all twenty-four years of his career as a practicing attorney. Courtney has previously practiced in Memphis and Mississippi during her law career.

“We have been experiencing a growing demand for trusted employment counsel in Nashville, and in order for us to truly fulfill that need, we realized that it’s important to be physically present and embedded with clients in that market,” said Roger Quillen, Chairman and Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips. “A Nashville location expands our foothold in a key region as part of the firm’s goal to better serve our clients and the industries in which they operate.”

“I am excited to be in Nashville,” said Joe Shelton managing partner of the Nashville office. “Being a University of Tennessee law graduate and an east Tennessee native, there is a return to roots element at play for me. I have a fantastic law partner in Courtney Leyes as we lead the firm’s growth serving existing and new clients in Nashville. We hope to attract other lawyers who share our goal of practicing labor/employment law at a high-level while being good individual and corporate citizens in this dynamic city.”

“Nashville has long been a focus for the firm and my personal caseload has been Nashville-heavy for a number of years, but having a permanent presence in such a convenient area of the city will further enhance what Fisher Phillips can offer to clients in this market,” said Courtney Leyes. “I join in Joe’s excitement to be here. We are envisioning a lot of excitement going into 2020 and beyond.”

The firm is planning an opening reception early in 2020.
