Bird & Bird Bolsters its Energy & Utilities Group With The Hire of Alfonso Bayona as Partner in Madrid

International law firm Bird & Bird today grows its Corporate practice and Energy & Utilities sector group with the hire of partner, Alfonso Bayona, in Madrid. Alfonso joins the firm from Cazorla Abogados SLP where he was responsible for the Financing and Projects practice.

Prior to this, Alfonso worked at Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A., Uría Menéndez and as counsel within the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructures sector group at Hogan Lovells. He also previously worked as counsel at Bird & Bird for 5 years. As a specialist in energy law, natural resources and infrastructure, Alfonso advises on corporate, contractual and financial matters. This includes market-leading infrastructure, energy and utilities transactions, project financing, implementation of corporate restructuring operations, commercial litigation and the drafting and negotiation of contracts for a range of clients in Spain and internationally.
