Squire Patton Boggs has hired two experienced litigation attorneys into its global Labor & Employment Practice with the addition of partner Jon G. Daryanani and of counsel Jill L. Ripke. They join from Perkins Coie LLP where Mr. Daryanani served as Los Angeles Managing Partner until 2024.
“Jon and Jill are seasoned trial and litigation attorneys with a diverse range of experience resolving high stakes disputes for blue chip companies,” said Meghan E. Hill, co-chair of Squire Patton Boggs’ global Labor & Employment Practice. “They bring an active caseload to our national practice and add significant depth to our ability to assist our international clients in complex litigation in California and around the country.”
James Hsu, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, added, “Our Los Angeles office remains in growth mode and bolstering our employment capabilities for our California-based and national clients is another important and strategic step in our continued expansion.”
Mr. Daryanani is an experienced trial attorney advising Fortune 100 companies, other national and international brands, VC and private firms on a wide variety of employment law matters. He leads on complex employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions and trade secret litigation. Mr. Daryanani also provides strategic planning on a vast array of employment matters, including employment and severance agreements, workforce reductions and implementation of wage and commission structures. He has successfully litigated claims in state and federal courts and before government agencies. He was named a “Top 100 Lawyer” by Los Angeles Business Journal in 2023 and was listed in Thomson Reuters “Stand-Out Lawyers” in 2025.
Ms. Ripke focuses her practice on complex wage and hour class action cases. She has successfully defended companies in employment and independent contractor wage and hour class and representative actions, including claims relating to California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). She also defends employers with respect to harassment, individual discrimination and wrongful termination claims in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies, and provides critical guidance to employers as to personnel policies and related matters.
Commenting on his addition to the firm, Mr. Daryanani stated, “I am truly excited to join Squire Patton Boggs. California is a global market with a high volume of complex employment litigation. The firm’s strong team and expert capabilities in the region enhance our ability to effectively serve our clients and its national and international platform offers enormous growth potential.”
Ms. Ripke added, “I am looking forward to joining Squire Patton Boggs and working with Jon and my talented new colleagues to continue to provide clients with the best possible service regarding employment litigation and counseling matters.”
