Winston & Strawn LLP has announced that two attorneys have joined the firm’s transactional practice from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. Edward V. Kayukov and Laurae Rossi, both project finance attorneys, join Winston & Strawn as partners in the Los Angeles office. The firm has now welcomed approximately 20 attorneys in the last 12 months to its Los Angeles office. The recent hire comes on the heels of the firm’s opening of an office in Silicon Valley, which brings Winston & Strawn’s presence on the West Coast to three offices.

Hogan Lovells today announced the expansion of its Los Angeles Office with the addition of a prominent, long-standing corporate transactional team. Veteran Los Angeles corporate and mergers and acquisitions partner Barry Dastin, prominent media and entertainment partner Sheri Jeffrey, and corporate and M&A partner Russ Cashdan will join Hogan Lovells’ Los Angeles office. Morrison & Foerster announced today that Jeffrey A. Chester, a well-known and highly-respected project finance and renewable energy lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner in Los Angeles. Mr. Chester advises on global capital-raising transactions for the renewable and alternative energy space. He has closed more than 50 wind-power and two dozen solar-power project financings, including a 1,550-megawatt power purchase agreement by Southern California Edison, the largest wind-power purchase agreement in history.
