Mintz announced today that three leading real estate attorneys have joined the firm as Members in Los Angeles. Erin F. Natter, Daniel B. Guggenheim and Michael D. Soejoto will provide comprehensive counsel on sophisticated transactional and financing work for real estate funds, lenders, and other investors. All three practitioners join Mintz from Pircher, Nichols & Meeks.
Ms. Natter’s practice focuses on real estate finance, acquisitions and dispositions, sale-leaseback transactions, and leasing matters. She regularly represents institutional and non-bank lenders, real estate funds, opportunity funds, and other real estate investors in a wide variety of real estate transactions involving a broad range of real estate assets – from five-star full-service resorts, to office and retail buildings, to multifamily and mixed – use projects, to various industrial projects. Ms. Natter’s practice often involves multi-property portfolio transactions with assets located throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Guggenheim represents private equity fund managers, real estate companies, family offices, and institutional investors in connection with commercial real estate joint ventures and other partnerships, financings, acquisitions, and dispositions. He is also a lecturer in law at USC’s Gould School of Law, where he teaches the course on real estate joint ventures between capital partners and sponsors.
Mr. Soejoto’s practice focuses on commercial real estate joint ventures and other partnerships and strategic relationships, as well as the federal income tax and California property tax and transfer tax aspects of real estate transactions and real estate-related investments, with significant experience structuring transactions for private real estate investment trusts (REITs) and tax-exempt investors. His clients include private equity firms, hedge funds, private and institutional investors, and owners and developers of commercial real estate properties.
