Loeb & Loeb Further Expands Corporate and Capital Markets Practices with Addition of Allen Z. Sussman in Los Angeles

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Allen Z. Sussman has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Capital Markets and Corporate Practice Groups. He was previously a partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice at Reed Smith LLP in Los Angeles.

Sussman focuses his practice on corporate and securities transactions and counseling for clients ranging from newly formed startup teams to mature public companies in a variety of industries, including healthcare, entertainment, technology and banking. He also represents private equity investors and activist shareholders in acquisition transactions and control contests.

Sussman has a wide range of expertise in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and SEC compliance, venture capital and private equity transactions, and banking and financial services matters. Prior to private practice, Sussman served as an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and the Office of Thrift Supervision, Department of the Treasury.

Sussman earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was Editor of the Annual Review of Banking Law, and his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Sussman has been named a Best Lawyer in America in the field of Corporate Law for the past six years and has been ranked within the top 100 IPO lawyers nationwide by the IPO Lawyer Yearbook.

Sussman is the second lateral partner to join Loeb & Loeb’s Corporate Practice in Los Angeles this year, following the addition of Chelsea Grayson who joined from Jones Day in March.
