Greenberg Traurig Expands Its Entertainment & Media Practice with the Addition of Steve Plinio in Los Angeles

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that Steve Plinio has joined its Los Angeles office as a shareholder in the Entertainment & Media Practice.

Plinio’s practice will be focused on all aspects of the music industry, including recording contracts, music publishing agreements, digital music, music in film and other music business transactions. He is experienced in representing and guiding new artists, and possesses an expertise in counseling clients at all stages of their careers on the issues and rights relating to new media and digital music.

Plinio’s clients include bands, recording artists, producers, songwriters, record companies, music destination sites, music publishing companies, film production companies, digital music and entertainment delivery companies, and other entertainment technology businesses.

Plinio was previously a partner at King, Holmes, Paterno & Berliner in Los Angeles. He also gained first hand experience in digital music while a member of the senior executive team at Loudeye Technologies, Inc., one of the leading providers of services and infrastructure for the authorized delivery of digital music.

Plinio holds a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University.
