Squire Patton Boggs Adds Financial Services Partner in Australia

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the appointment of Financial Services partner Rachel Jones, who has joined the firm in Sydney from Gilbert & Tobin.

Rachel has over 20 years’ experience in leveraged, acquisition and project finance, structured asset finance and corporate finance. Prior to joining Gilbert & Tobin in 2013, she spent seven years at Freshfields in London. Rachel also has extensive in-house experience gained from secondments at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, Barclays Capital, GE Money and GE Commercial Finance.

Rachel brings expertise in bilateral and syndicated loan transactions across a range of structures including tax-driven structured finance arrangements, debt restructuring, asset-backed and inventory facilities. Notable transactions include advising Telstra in connection with the financing of the US$1.6 billion acquisition of Digicel Pacific, and advising the syndicate of lenders on the financing of the A$2.35 billion acquisition by Aurizon of One Rail Australia.
