Simmons & Simmons strengthens its construction practice with the hire of partner Ali Fagan in its London office. Joining the firm after nine years as partner at DLA Piper, Ali is a deeply experienced litigator specialising in international infrastructure and energy projects, with a strong track record advising leading infrastructure investment funds and fund managers.
Ali’s practice focuses on providing clients with legal and risk management advice, addressing challenges faced with investments in projects across the asset class. Holding longstanding relationships with major funds in the infrastructure market, she is particularly known for her work advising on distressed or strategically critical projects.
Ali’s wide expertise spans the full spectrum of infrastructure assets in the UK, with further experience operating in multiple jurisdictions, including the Middle East. Her hire underpins the ongoing expansion of the firm’s newly established Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction (ENRIC) sector by strengthening the firm’s construction and contentious construction capabilities. Additionally, her practice is closely aligned with Simmons & Simmons’ Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) sector.
Ali will be joined by her former colleague, Jenny Harrison, who has wealth of experience in social and energy infrastructure projects. Jenny joins the team in an of Counsel role.
