Sanjeev Dhuna Joins Shearman & Sterling as Leveraged Finance Partner in London

Global Law firm Shearman & Sterling today announces the appointment of Sanjeev Dhuna as a Leveraged Finance partner in the Finance group, based in London. This follows the appointment of Gary Hamp in London and Heather Water Borthwick in New York. Sanjeev will lead the team across Europe, alongside Ward McKimm. Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling Sanjeev was a partner at Allen & Overy.

Sanjeev has extensive experience advising both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of complex cross-border banking and finance transactions, including acting as lender’s counsel across from top-tier financial sponsors on large-cap leveraged buyouts. As head of direct lending at his current firm, Sanjeev has wide-ranging experience advising credit funds and direct lending clients.
