Real Estate Expert Deepa Deb Joins Watson Farley & Williams in London

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that real estate expert Deepa Deb has joined the firm as a Partner in London, where she will be Head of International Real Estate Investment, coordinating activities across our 19 offices. She joins from DWF, where she was Global Head of Development & Investment, having been Head of UK Real Estate at Dentons prior to that.

Deepa specialises in both real estate investment and development, acting for domestic and overseas developers, property companies, institutions and funders. With a wealth of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on both real estate and corporate transactions, she has developed a particular expertise in the wider residential sector (student accommodation, build-to-rent and senior living schemes). She acts for international developers on residential-led mixed-use schemes including scheme structuring and risk analysis and is well-versed in all aspects of corporate real estate and real estate finance transactions.

Deepa has been ranked in top legal directory Chambers & Partners for the last eight consecutive years for Real Estate: £150 million and above and was ranked as a Leading Individual in the 2022/23 edition of the Legal 500 for Commercial Property Development.

London Partner and Real Estate Group Head Gary Ritter commented: “I am thrilled that Deepa is joining our real estate team in London. Her commercial real estate expertise is second to none and her experience acting for development clients will help us further develop our expertise in the infrastructure sector. I look forward to working closely with her moving forward”.

Deepa added: “I am very excited to be joining WFW given its full service and truly international real estate capabilities which, along with its strong sector focus, represent a fantastic opportunity for me to enhance my offering to current and prospective clients. I am also keen to play a key role in consolidating the firm’s real estate brand both nationally and globally”.
