Morgan Lewis to Strengthen Global Corporate Capabilities with 3 New Partners in London

Morgan Lewis continues to expand its European and global cross-border corporate capabilities in its London office with the addition of three new partners from Herbert Smith Freehills. Mark Geday, Nicholas Moore, and Tomasz Wozniak will soon join Morgan Lewis, adding a wealth of experience in a broad range of complex and cross-border corporate transactions.

The three seasoned corporate and private equity partners have worked together for many years, representing clients in transactions throughout the world and across a number of sectors, including asset management, technology, natural resources, media, telecommunications, and consumer products.

“Mark, Nick, and Tom have served clients across a range of vital sectors and regions, further deepening the ability of our leading corporate and business transactions practice to facilitate the kinds of deals that are critical to our clients’ global growth strategies,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Their sophisticated insight into business environments will make them trusted advisers to our clients with multinational interests.”

The arrival of the new partners further solidifies Morgan Lewis’s successful cross-border corporate and business transactions practice in London, adding to a skilled bench of corporate and finance partners who in the last 18 months have led a number of multi-billion dollar deals involving Silversea Cruises, Ciner Group, and Yandex.

“Our new partners are seasoned veterans with significant backgrounds in guiding clients through successful global and cross-border corporate transactions,” said Steve Browne, leader of Morgan Lewis’s corporate and business transactions practice. “Growing our corporate transactional and private equity team in London with Mark, Nick, and Tom is a key step in expanding our capabilities and deepening our services to clients in London, throughout Europe, and around the globe.”

Now with more than 80 lawyers, Morgan Lewis’s London office has grown over 300% in the last five years. Other recent additions include finance partner Paul Denham, who joined in May, and finance partner Georgia Quenby, who joined earlier this year with finance of counsel Victoria Thompson and two associates.

“I am delighted to welcome three exceptional new colleagues to London,” said Frances Murphy, managing partner of Morgan Lewis’s London office. “As we continue to expand in London, their arrival underscores our firm’s commitment to the success of our clients as they grow their businesses around the world.”
