McDermott Adds Litigation and International Arbitration Partner in London

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce it has appointed Damian Watkin as partner in its Litigation Practice Group in London.

He joins from the Dubai office of an international law firm where he was Of Counsel leading that Firm’s construction practice.

Damian is an international dispute resolution barrister with a particular focus on international arbitration. His disputes practice focuses primarily on infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, utilities, power, natural resources, maritime, transport, investment treaties, international trade and commodities. He has advised in numerous international commercial arbitration disputes and has conducted complex, high-value litigation proceedings before senior courts of England and Australia. He has worked in Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

Damian is a Fellow and education committee member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a Hardwicke Scholar. He is a member of TECBAR, the Professional Negligence Bar Association, the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Bar Association and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He regularly presents and publishes on international arbitration topics.
