Locke Lord Bolsters Capital Markets Capabilities in London With Addition of Kieran Stone as Partner, Further Strengthening Firm’s Growing London Office

Kieran Stone has joined Locke Lord’s London office as a Partner in the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group. Stone’s extensive experience advising clients in the energy and technology sectors on equity capital markets transactions will further enhance the Firm’s capabilities as well as its growing London office. A former partner at Memery Crystal, Stone joins Locke Lord with vast experience in equity capital markets, acting for both UK and international main market and AIM-quoted companies as well as their advisers. Stone has also advised on a range of public takeover and private M&A transactions.

Stone’s addition closely follows several recent strategic hires in the Firm’s London and Brussels offices, including Nick Elwell-Sutton, Leigh Smith and Dominic Farnsworth as Partners, Giovanni Visintini as Senior Counsel and Neale Christy, Bart Lieben and Mathieu Mortelé as Counsel.

“Kieran’s depth of capital markets experience combined with the international focus of his practice means he is a fantastic fit for our London corporate team,” said Locke Lord London Office Managing Partner David Grant. “His arrival is the latest addition to Locke Lord’s London office and a nod to the Firm’s continued growth of key practice areas within the European market, including corporate, real estate, litigation, bankruptcy and intellectual property.”

“Locke Lord’s platform provides me an exciting opportunity to continue expanding the Firm’s strong London-based midcap energy capital markets practice,” said Stone. “I am thrilled to join the Firm’s skilled team of corporate lawyers who share a strong commitment to the same values I believe to be important, such as integrity, excellence, collaboration and innovation, and I look forward to growing with Locke Lord.”

Locke Lord’s London capital markets team has long-standing experience advising companies, boards of directors, nominated advisers, brokers, sponsors and underwriters on a broad range of transactions. The team has significant experience in both main market and AIM market transactions on the London Stock Exchange, including premium and standard listings, secondary equity fundraisings, pre-IPO fundraisings, M&A transactions, corporate governance advice, ongoing regulatory requirements and shareholder disputes.
