Leading Restructuring and Insolvency Partner Join Latham & Watkins in London

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Simon Baskerville will join the firm as a partner in the Finance Department. Over the years, he has developed a formidable reputation in the UK for advising on a broad range of complex restructuring and insolvency matters.

Baskerville has more than 17 years’ experience representing debtors, administrators/administrative receivers and creditors in UK based restructurings and UK aspects of international restructurings. In particular, he regularly advises alternative asset managers active in special situations and other debt investments. He also has significant experience in a wider range of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A and capital fundraisings.

A leading figure in the UK restructuring community, Baskerville is well known for playing a key role in a number of high-profile matters in which he represented prominent asset managers, hedge funds and bondholders.

Baskerville will join Latham & Watkins from Ashurst in London. He graduated from the University of Southampton with an LLB in 1997 before taking his LPC at Oxford Institute of Legal Practice in 1998.
