Goodwin Continues London Private Equity Expansion with Partner James Grimwood

Global law firm Goodwin announced today that James Grimwood has joined the firm’s Private Equity group as partner in the London office. Grimwood comes to the firm from the London office of CMS Cameron McKenna.

Grimwood advises on private equity transactions for institutions and management teams both domestically and cross border. He has a wealth of experience in handling corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures and reorganizations, having acted on many large and high-profile matters. Grimwood is ranked as a ‘Leading Individual’ for Private Equity: Buyouts by Chambers UK.

The hire of Grimwood comes during an expansive period for Goodwin in Europe. The firm now has more than 120 private equity lawyers across its London, Frankfurt and Paris offices and has recently opened a private investment funds-focused office in Luxembourg. In addition, Goodwin has made high-profile investments its UK technology and life sciences bench. The firm’s European offices have grown to nearly 200 lawyers, almost all of whom are dedicated to the private equity, technology, life sciences and real estate industries.
