Eversheds has appointed Jonathan Leach as an international arbitration partner in its Commercial Dispute Resolution practice. Jonathan joins the firm as a lateral hire from Hogan Lovells.
As an international arbitration specialist, Jonathan has experience of advising and representing clients in commercial arbitrations in the trade, commodities, finance and energy sectors, and out of joint venture disputes. He has also advised a number of clients on investment treaty protection.
Jonathan will be based in Eversheds’ London office working with partner Stuart Dutson in developing the firm’s commercial arbitration practice. He will also work with partners Will Thomas and David Sellers in the Paris office and Rod Bundy in Singapore to grow the wider International Arbitration Group, particularly in relation to investment treaty arbitration.
While at Hogan Lovells, Jonathan led the South-East Asia international arbitration practice. The practice was primarily focused on the resolution of cross-border disputes with a South-East Asia connection.
Jonathan sits as an arbitrator and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is ranked individually as a leading practitioner by Chambers Asia, Euromoney’s Commercial Arbitration Expert Guide, Best Lawyers in Singapore and Benchmark Asia Pacific.
