Dentons is pleased to announce that corporate partner Stephen Levy will be joining the Firm in London from Pinsent Masons, where he had been a partner since 2006.
A specialist in cross-border and UK M&A and private equity transactions, Stephen has advised international and UK private equity funds including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, H.I.G. Capital, Anchorage and Montagu Private Equity. He has also represented large corporates such as Landis+Gyr and Peel Group. As well as strengthening our leading M&A capability, Stephen will work within our global private equity group to boost our growing practice in London. His arrival follows the recent hires of corporate partners David Collins, Nikolas Colbridge and Martin Mankabady, and represents a further step towards advancing the Firm’s objectives in the UK of further growth, strengthening the corporate brand in our home market, and capitalising on the growing opportunities for multi-jurisdictional M&A and private equity arising from Dentons’ international expansion.
Jeremy Cohen, Dentons’ UKMEA Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Expanding the Corporate team is one of our key priorities for the region. In the UK we are consistently rated in the top tier for mid-cap M&A and over the last three years we have grown a private equity practice that has started to achieve some notable successes in mid-market UK and emerging markets transactions. Stephen’s arrival will actively complement both practices and I am very pleased to welcome him to the Firm.”
David Collins, UK Head of Corporate and co-chair of the Global M&A Group, added, “The recent growth of our UK corporate practice combined with Dentons’ expanding international footprint, our strong profile in mid-market M&A and our enhanced reputation for equity capital markets and private equity work, provide us with an opportunity to continue to grow our market share in these areas. I look forward to working with Stephen as he contributes to the ongoing development of the Corporate practice in the UK and the firm’s broader global M&A and private equity offering.”
