CMS Further Bolsters Regulatory Practice With New Partner Hire

Building on two partner hires last summer and two internal partner promotions earlier this year, law firm CMS continues to strengthen and grow its Financial Services Regulatory team with the hire of Angela Greenough. Angela joins the firm from Hogan Lovells, where she was of counsel.

Angela’s practice focuses on regulated financial services outsourcing and the operational aspects of FS regulation, and she has been involved in transformational outsourcing projects for some of the sector’s largest financial institutions. Her addition boosts not only the firm’s regulatory team, but will also reinforce an already extremely strong Technology and Outsourcing group.

Ash Saluja, Head of Financial Services & Products at CMS, comments: “We are delighted that Angela has joined us to support the continued growth and development of our Financial Services team, which now has over 65 lawyers in the UK. We have worked alongside or opposite Angela for a number of clients for many years. She is a skilled and highly respected lawyer, with significant experience on important regulatory driven projects and key transactions for financial institutions. Angela’s experience in particular on critical outsourcing projects in the financial services sector will strengthen our ability to support our FI and Tech sector clients, and will secure new opportunities in a market with ever increasing regulatory focus on operational risk and continuity.”

Commenting on her appointment Angela added: “I’m delighted to be part of the established Financial Services team at CMS. I’m excited to be working within the firm’s multi-disciplinary teams, building on my cross-practice expertise of outsourcing and regulation. I look forward to delivering real value for clients across the financial services industry.”
