Clyde & Co Strengthens Real Estate Group With New Partner Hire

Global law firm Clyde & Co has today announced the appointment of Will Deeprose as a Partner in its real estate group. Will Deeprose is a leading lawyer within the real estate sector and has nearly ten years’ experience. Will joins from DLA Piper, where he was a Legal Director within the real estate team.

Will has developed a successful practice founded on real estate investment, letting and development projects. He specialises in capital investment transactions and lease negotiations and has advised institutional investors on various redevelopment projects.

Adam Taylor-Smith, Partner at Clyde & Co, commented: “Our real estate practice has had a fantastic year. We have expanded significantly, which has presented us with an increase in instructions and opportunities. We are therefore delighted to have Will join the firm to help us keep the momentum going and to further develop and grow our practice.”

Will Deeprose commented: “I’m very pleased to be joining the firm. Clyde & Co has a market leading offering and a well-established and growing reputation within the real estate sector. I also look forward to making the most of the firm’s international platform.”

The firm’s real estate group has seen considerable growth in the past year through a number of promotions and lateral hires. The wider practice has also added a full commercial property team in Manchester, and has merged with Scotland’s largest real estate practice Simpson & Marwick. Clyde & Co now has over 60 dedicated real estate lawyers in the UK.

Clyde & Co’s Real Estate team is preeminent in the South and has for the past seven years been ranked in Band 1 in Chambers & Partners and Tier 1 in Legal 500. Clyde & Co was shortlisted for ‘Real Estate team of the year’ at both The Lawyer and Legal Business Awards in 2015.

Also joining Clyde & Co from other firms are two associates who will be working alongside the wider team, as well as Will.
