Dentons and 大成 Formalize Combination

Dentons and 大成 today formalized their combination. The launch follows the previously-announced timeline set in January 2015, after a vote by partners of both firms endorsing the combination, with both firms indicating that an effective date would be set by year’s end.

The Firm will be known as “Dentons” in English and all other languages, except for Chinese. In Chinese, the Firm will be known as “大成;” the Firm’s logo unites the two in a design that features both as “大成Dentons.”

With approximately 6,600 lawyers serving more than 50 countries around the world, the new firm offers clients the benefit of quality experience in and of the communities in which they want to do business or resolve a dispute — from Canada and the United States, across Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Africa, and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Consistent with the Firm’s in and of the community approach, the combination unites best practices from around the globe in one, global offering that celebrates the diverse communities in which it has a presence, and enhances practice and sector offerings with reach and depth that is unmatched in the marketplace.

Today the Firm also introduces a new Chinese language site on www.dentons.com. As a courtesy to clients and others seeking information on the Firm’s capabilities in China and our legacy firm 大成, the legacy website www.dachenglaw.com will remain public before fully transitioning to our joint, shared site at www.dentons.com.
