Hunton & Williams LLP continues its national expansion with the arrival of Robert K. Smith as a partner with the real estate capital markets practice. Smith focuses his practice on REITs, with a focus on the mortgage REIT space that includes representing some of the leading publicly traded mortgage REITs on securities offerings and corporate and securities law reporting matters. IP Litigation Partner Duo Joins Sheppard Mullin Century City

Seong Hwan Kim and Rebecca Edelson have joined the Century City office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as partners in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice groups. Kim and Edelson join from Steptoe & Johnson, where Kim was head of the firm’s Korea Commercial Litigation practice, co-head of the Korea practice group, and a member of the firm’s executive committee; and Edelson led the firm’s Trade Secrets practice.
