Goodwin’s Frankfurt office advised Godewind Immobilien AG on the acquisition of a Kirchheim-based office property “Sunsquare” from publity AG by ways of an asset deal. The transaction volume amounts to €30.5 million. The closing is expected by the end of 2018.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised Airtel on a US$1.25bn investment in Airtel Africa by six leading global investors including Warburg Pincus, Softbank, Temasek and Singtel. The deal is one of Africa’s largest cross-border M&A transactions in 2018. Airtel is headquartered in India and is the world’s third-largest mobile network operator, and its subsidiary Airtel Africa is the second largest telecom operator in Africa, with operations in 14 countries and a customer base of 91 million.
