International law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Tim Mathers as partner in its real estate practice in Brisbane.

Tim joins from DLA Piper where he has been head of real estate in Australia since 2017 and partner since 2015. Tim specialises in real estate capital transactions and developments and major commercial and retail leasing transactions. He also regularly advises on energy and resources projects, hotel and leisure developments, infrastructure projects and M&A. Prior to DLA Piper, Tim worked at King & Wood Mallesons and Herbert Smith Freehills.

Herbert Smith Freehills has hired leading IP lawyer Dr Ina vom Feld, who will join its Düsseldorf office on 1 May 2020 as its first IP partner in Germany.
