Shortsle joins the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group with strong credentials advising high-profile pharmaceutical brands in the intellectual property (IP) aspects of drug treatments for serious health conditions, including prostate cancer, depression, and heartburn.

Tim joins from DLA Piper where he has been head of real estate in Australia since 2017 and partner since 2015. Tim specialises in real estate capital transactions and developments and major commercial and retail leasing transactions. He also regularly advises on energy and resources projects, hotel and leisure developments, infrastructure projects and M&A. Prior to DLA Piper, Tim worked at King & Wood Mallesons and Herbert Smith Freehills.

Herbert Smith Freehills has hired leading IP lawyer Dr Ina vom Feld, who will join its Düsseldorf office on 1 May 2020 as its first IP partner in Germany. Ina joins, together with associate Behyad Hozuri, from Simmons & Simmons in Düsseldorf, where she was a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution group.
