Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that Eric Schwartzman has rejoined the firm as a partner in the Corporate Department and member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practices. He will practice from the firm’s Bay Area offices, advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, strategic corporate acquirers, and target companies on sophisticated transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, take-privates, carve-outs, restructurings, and joint ventures. Schwartzman rejoins Latham from Cooley in San Francisco.

Orrick Adds Energy Rising Star in London

Mayer Brown announced today that former senior White House economic advisor Andrew Olmem has returned to the firm in Washington DC as a partner in the Public Policy, Regulatory & Political Law practice. Mr. Olmem most recently served as the Deputy Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council (NEC), where he oversaw the development and coordination of all domestic economic policies in a variety of sectors, including financial services, technology, telecom, energy and infrastructure.

Berlin-Global law firm Dentons has bolstered its Energy and Infrastructure group in Berlin with the addition of a team of four lawyers, led by partners Dr. Thomas Dörmer and Dr. Tim Heitling. They joined along with associate Annekathrin Markert on July 1, 2020. Dr. Daniel Neudecker will join as counsel in August. The team, which was previously with Baker McKenzie, brings significant experience in both transactional and regulatory work in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
