King & Spalding today announced that Jake Downing joins the firm as a partner in the Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group, and as part of the recently-launched Global Human Capital and Compliance (GHCC) practice. Downing, who specializes in global executive compensation and employee benefits issues, will be based in the Chicago office. Downing joins from Seyfarth Shaw, where he led its Executive Compensation group, and is a colleague of Darren Gardner, Amanda Sonneborn, Dominic Hodson and Luke Edwards, who joined King & Spalding in the fall of last year.
Lauren A. Ferrante has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm’s Chicago office. Ferrante offers experience representing clients in state and local tax (SALT) controversies and planning matters. Prior to joining Duane Morris, she was a partner in McDermott Will & Emery LLP’s SALT Practice.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that Stacey L. Rosenberg has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Finance & Bankruptcy practice group. Rosenberg was most recently a partner at Hogan Lovells. She is the 15th partner to join Sheppard Mullin in the last year.
Mark Powell has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the firm’s Private Wealth Services Group. Although resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office, Mr. Powell also will continue to work with high-net-worth clients in Orange County. Most recently, he was a partner at Snell & Wilmer in its Orange County office.
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced the addition of Britt Mosman, former Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Department of Treasury. She joins the Firm as a partner in the Global Trade & Investment Practice Group and will be based in Washington, DC.
King & Spalding has recruited Vincent Rowan and Shareena Edmonds as partners in the Construction and Engineering Disputes team, based in the firm’s London office. Rowan and Edmonds were previously partners at Reed Smith and follow the recent hire of construction, energy and infrastructure disputes partners Patrick McPherson and Randall Walker in Dubai.
