King & Spalding has added a six-partner team to its Global Human Capital and Compliance (GHCC) practice, with Tom Ahlering, Anne Dana, Gina Merrill, Jenny Neilsson, Jesse Pauker and Pete Wozniak joining across the firm’s Chicago and New York offices. Ahlering, Dana, Merrill and Pauker all join King & Spalding from Seyfarth Shaw. Wozniak joins from Barnes & Thornburg and Neilsson from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Neilsson will start later this month.
Mayer Brown continues to expand its global finance capabilities following the arrival of three partners—Musonda Kapotwe, Andy Kolacki and Myles Mantle—who have joined the firm in London. The new partners further strengthen Mayer Brown’s non-contentious financial regulatory, loan finance and project finance capabilities. Musonda and Andy join the firm’s Banking & Finance practice; Myles joins the Project Finance team, and will relocate to the Tokyo office in 2022. Kolacki was previously a partner at DLA Piper, Kapotwe joins from Barclays, and Mantle was previously a partner at Haynes & Boone.

Orrick announced today that Franklin Monsour, a former federal prosecutor and experienced white collar and regulatory adviser to the life sciences sector, has joined us as a partner in New York. Franklin joins the firm’s White Collar and Government Investigations practice. Franklin joins Orrick from Squire Patton Boggs.
Cooley’s litigation department continues to expand its East Coast presence with the addition of former federal prosecutor and US Department of Justice leader Zachary Hafer, who joins the firm as a partner in Boston. He arrives from the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, where he served as chief of the criminal division. Hafer’s significant trial experience complements several recent additions who have joined the firm’s elite, next-generation litigation practice. He will focus his practice on complex litigation, white collar defense and investigations, and trial work.
