Baker Botts has increased its Texas associate salaries at all levels to meet the current market trend. First-years will now earn $140,000 with a potential $10,000 bonus, slightly bettering the recent moves by V&E and Andrews Kurth. Firms Pepper Hamilton and Blank Rome announced plans to raise attorney salaries this week, becoming the latest to join the trend. For Pepper Hamilton, first year associates in all offices will get an extra $10,000, except in Harrisburg and Detriot, where the raise is $7,000.
