His arrival will be followed by the opening of Gibson Dunn’s Madrid office and represents a significant expansion of the firm’s European transactional platform. Albarrán arrives from Freshfields, where he practiced for the last 29 years.

Akin announced today that Professor Kabir Duggal and Felipe Nazar Pagani have joined the firm as international arbitration partners in its New York office. Duggal and Nazar Pagani are the latest additions to the firm’s growing International Arbitration Group, with Akin recently having added Mark Clarke and Jonathan Brierley in London and Shane Jury in Dubai.
