Prior to joining Akerman, Musser spent over the last nine years at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Chicago is one of Akerman’s largest markets.
O’Melveny announced today that a five-partner corporate team, specializing in M&A, private equity, capital markets, energy, tax, and public-company corporate counseling, has joined the firm’s Dallas office. The lawyers—Richard Whitfield “Whit” Roberts, Jack E. Jacobsen, Jason A. Schumacher, Will S. Becker, and Christine “Chrissy” Williford Metcalf—were partners at Locke Lord LLP, where Roberts held leadership positions firmwide and in the Dallas office, Jacobsen was Co-Chair of the Corporate and Transactional Department, and Schumacher was Co-Chair of the Energy Practice Group.

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that it has opened an office in Phoenix, Arizona. The new Phoenix office is the Firm’s 20th location. The lawyers establishing Dorsey’s Phoenix office include Scott Jenkins, Isaac Gabriel, and Andrea Palmer, all of whom most recently practiced in the Phoenix office of the Quarles & Brady law firm. All of them join Dorsey as partners.
Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Yoanna Stefanova as a corporate/M&A partner in the Luxembourg office. Arriving from NautaDutilh, Stefanova is the first new partner to join the firm’s Luxembourg office (K&L Gates Volckrick) since its establishment in July 2021 as K&L Gates’ eighth office across Europe and 46th worldwide.
