American Firm Scoops Up British Firm
American firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge has announced that it will acquire the entirety of London-based firm Kendall Freeman. The union will become effective on the first of January. After the merger, the firm will have more than 600 attorneys in 11 offices worldwide.

Firms Begin Announcing Year-End Bonuses
Cravath, Swaine & Moore announced their end of year bonuses on Monday. First years will get $10,000 in special bonuses while seniors will get $50,000. Year-end bonuses will be between $35,000 and $60,000.

Reluctant Firm Boosts First Year Pay
Although law firm Cozen O’Connor stated earlier this year that they had no intention of joining the first-year salary hike craze, they have just announced that they will boost first-year annual pay for attorneys in their Philadelphia office by $10,000 to $135,000. The pay hike will become affective January 1.
