Hogan & Hartson will purchase renewable wind credits for 2008. This agreement gives them the honor of being the largest Denver law firm to replace its electricity use with that of wind. Hogan’s Denver office will purchase 1.86 million kilowatt hours of renewable energy credits, denying the emission of 2.5 million pounds of carbon dioxide . Hogan & Hartson’s decision will benefit the environment extremely, in that it is equivalent to planting 1,030 acres of trees, or in other terms, not driving 2.8 million miles. This latest action is part of Hogan & Hartson’s “Earthwell” program, which focuses on passing policies to reduce waste at the firm’s Colorado’s offices
