Fish & Richardson issued 1,679 patents in 2009, an increase of 3.2 percent from the previous year. Patent work is one of the firm’s major practice areas.

Duane Morris had a (mostly) successful year in 2009. The firm’s gross revenue increased by 5.4 percent. Duane Morris’ revenue jumped from $368 million in 2008 to $387.7 million in 2009, which is even more than its 2007 number of $375 million. Profits per equity partner were also up in 2009. It increased by 3.6 percent from $727,000 to $753,000. Revenue per lawyer actually fell one percent last year totaling $633,000.
