Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Adrienne Ellman has joined the firm’s Corporate & Finance practice group as a partner in its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Private Equity practices, based in New York. Recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” by The Legal 500 in M&A nationwide, Ellman will further strengthen the firm’s transactional capabilities, particularly in the life sciences and health care sector. Ellman is the fifth corporate partner to join the firm’s New York office this month. Her arrival follows those of M&A partners Luke Iovine, Peter Cohen-Millstein, Megan Ridley-Kaye, and investment funds partner Parik Dasgupta, each of whom joined the firm in February. Ellman joins the firm from Foley Hoag, where she co-chaired the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Transactions group and served as co-lead partner of the New York office and as a member of the diversity committee.

Iovine will further strengthen the firm’s M&A team, which had an extraordinary year in 2021, having advised on some of the highest-profile transactions of the year, including Oracle Corporation’s US$28.3 billion acquisition of Cerner Corporation and IBM’s worldwide separation and reorganization of its managed infrastructure services business, Kyndryl Holdings, Inc. Iovine is the fourth corporate partner to join the New York office this month. His arrival follows that of M&A partners Peter Cohen-Millstein and Megan Ridley-Kaye, and private equity partner Parik Dasgupta. He joins Hogan Lovells from the New York office of Paul Hastings, where he was a partner.
